Born January 1, 1985, Blaze (Lambert Locket, Jr.) was born to Lambert Locket Sr. and Eulla Locket. He was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ and he is the middle son of three children. As a black man in America he was blessed to have both a loving and caring mother and father. He was born into a hard working family,. A family of activists who pushed to surpass the barriers of institutionalized racism and oppression. As an adolescence, Blaze was outgoing and athletic. To keep him out of the grip of the streets as a youngster, his mother and father enrolled him in every sport and after-school activity possible. He played baseball, basketball, football, soccer and participated in any other extracurricular activities he could get his hands on.
Highly influenced by artists such as 2pac, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, The Dogg Pound, UGK and Scarface, Blaze recorded his first song at the age of 12 and immediately began selling mixtapes in his local community. At 14, Blaze started performing at local talent showcases and parties. Though he was always an A and B student as a child, at the age of 16, Blaze began to succumb to the call of the streets. Induced by material gain beyond what his family could provide, he began selling narcotics for bills. Subsequently, this led to him being kicked out of his parents' home.
Around the same time, a local group called Thug Related, caught drift of some of Blaze’s previously recorded material. The collective liked his sound and became interested in a collaboration. Fresh out of high school, Blaze joined the group and moved down to Phoenix, Arizona, where the rest of Thug Related had relocated to seek further opportunities in the entertainment industry.
In 2007 and 2008, Blaze released two projects with the group and began recording tracks for his first solo release "The Blocc Burna Mixtape". While the group was establishing their own buzz on the local scene, Blaze also began to gain notoriety on his own as a solo artist. Unfortunately, this attention as well maintaining an element of the streets, caused Blaze numerous run-ins with authorities. Through these adverse times, he began a recording binge and dropped over 170 songs in an 11-month period.
In 2010, Blaze released the first two installments of his four-volume mixtape “Tha Blocc Burna”, gaining him substantial local and regional recognition. He also began attending Phoenix College for audio production, expanding his musical expertise to production and audio engineering. Later that year Blaze released his 1st solo album Tha Conception. In 2012 Blaze debuted as a producer on the release of his 2nd independent album Immaculate. It gained moderate attention, but in 2014, led by his most successful single to date “Put That On Me” Blaze released his 3rd album Tha Epitaph which solidified Blaze as a solo artist regionally and expanded his brand nationally. Following the release of the Epitaph, Blaze dropped his 11th mixtape Burna. Blaze continued to artistically flourish and push his potential as an artist as well an evolving producer, audio engineer and multi-media director, forming his own media company Have Notz LLC. In 2017 Blaze released his 4th studio album Legend In The Flesh, fully written and produced by himself. Most recently Blaze has partnered with producer 808 VVS and label Live Umbrella Entertainment. Led by 808 VVS and co-produced by Blaze himself, he released his 5th studio album Ghetto Gold, his most successful album to date led by singles Got To and Good. Within the last 18 months Blaze has released more than 15 singles including successful anthems Tribe Shit and politically renowned Amerikkkan Nightmare.
With momentum and notoriety building Blaze is on the verge of releasing his 6th studio album titled Southwest and it is projected far surpass the success of his previous album Ghetto Gold.
